Kung Fu (Tiger)
Tiger Kung Fu is a branch of Kung Fu that bases it's movements on that of the tiger, with links to other animal styles as well. Because of this the movements tend to be very powerful, with the aim of inflicting maximum damage in minimum time.
The art uses strikes, kicks, locks, grabbing, and throwing in training, as well as Forms (set patterns) and sparring.
There are 3 main forms in Tiger Kung Fu which students are expected to learn;
- Tiger Entering Forest
- Tiger Leaving Forest
- Wild Goose Qi Gong
Weapons
Sai are the main weapon used in Tiger Kung Fu. Other weapons are used (depending on the instructor) including Chinese swords and Tai Chi swords.
