Donnie Yen
Donnie Yen (born 27th June 1963) in Hong Kong is a martial arts film star who has trained in many different martial arts over the years, earning him the reputation of an accomplished mixed martial artist.
Yen trained initially in wushu, and then went on to learn Taekwondo - earning the level of 6th Dan. Yen has gone on to to learn other martial arts styles, and has obtain belts in judo and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and has also studied the art of parkour, wrestling, Muay Thai, kickboxing and boxing under various trainers.
When he was offered the role of Wing Chun grandmaster and Bruce Lee's mentor, Ip Man, in a 2008 film named after the grandmaster, he worked hard and studied Wing Chun under Ip Man's eldest son, Ip Chun for 9 months before tackling the role.
